Veteran broadcaster Arnold Clavio recently shared his near-death experience after suffering a hemorrhagic stroke, a life-threatening condition with a survival rate of only 25%.

In a social media post, Clavio detailed the events of June 11, 2024. He was on his way home when he began experiencing numbness in his body. Despite the alarming symptoms, he managed to drive himself to the hospital.

“Sabi ko, titigil ako sa unang ospital na makikita ko. Kaya mula Antipolo, maingat ako na nag-drive sa Sumulong highway hanggang makarating ako sa Emergency Room ng Fatima University Medical Center,” Clavio recounted.

Upon arrival, medical personnel attended to him and conducted several tests. The results were alarming: his blood pressure was a dangerously high 220/120, and his blood sugar level had spiked to 270. A subsequent CT scan revealed slight bleeding in the left side of his brain, confirming he had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke.

Due to the severity of his condition, Clavio was immediately transferred to St. Luke’s Hospital for further observation and treatment.

Reflecting on his ordeal, Clavio emphasized the importance of not ignoring symptoms and regularly monitoring one’s health.

Following his revelation, colleagues, friends, and celebrities expressed their support and sent well-wishes for Clavio’s swift recovery.
