Social movement Kami Naman PH on Saturday called out the supposed “infighting” among some of the country's politicians as it expressed concern over those who they say have become "instigators of division."
The group, however, did not mention any names.
Kamin Naman PH’s Edwin Monares said they are those who promised to join the cause for unity in the last elections but seem to have been doing otherwise.
“Gusto ng [mga] Pilipino na itigil na ang bangayan, away,” Monares said.
(Filipinos want this bickering to stop.)
The group also urged Filipinos to safeguard the Philippines'’ “hard-won” independence from colonial powers in time with the celebration of the 126th Independence Day.
“While politically we are free… socially and morally and ethically we are not. Bakit ang kalaban natin ngayon ay ang mismong sarili (Why are we fighting among ourselves) ?” Monares asked.
Monares also reiterated the group’s advocacy on calling for a government that prioritizes the welfare of the citizens, particularly the youth who are enduring poverty. –VAL, GMA Integrated News
