iPhone models that will be supported by Apple's new software as giffgaff, Sky and O2 deals soar

Apple has officially lifted the lid on its iOS 18, the new software that'll transform select iPhone users' phones with a swanky new homepage, AI editing, and a re-design of its photo app - to name a few of its eye-catching features. It'll only be available on select models, so if your phone's off the list you may need an upgrade.

It's seemingly taken a leaf from the likes of Google Pixel and Samsung with the introduction of AI, however, its eye-catching new Siri and Apple Intelligence features will only be available on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max. Leaving some shoppers wishing they had one of the two flagship pro models to hand.

Get an iPhone 15 Pro or Pro Max to make the most of iOS 18:

Hundreds of iPhone users may be looking to upgrade to the shiny flagship iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max devices. Any model from the iPhone Xr and newer (that supports iOS 17) will be able to download the new iOS 18 software but it won't include the standout AI or Siri.

So, to help tech fans ensure they have an iPhone ready to download the best of Apple's flashy new iOS 18 we've rounded up the best deals. If you want to find out more, our Tech Editor Dave Snelling has revealed the 'Simple way you can try it out first', which you can read all about, here.

Buy an iPhone 15 for £120 less than Apple at giffgaff

Remember that only the iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max will get access to all of the new iOS 18 features, including AI and an updated Siri.

Standout deal:

Now onto the best iPhone 15 range deals. Starting with the iPhone 15 one we'd recommend is giffgaff, as it offers a deal £120 cheaper than Apple. Shoppers can choose between paying the cheaper £679 price upfront or picking its £27.46 price per month (which you'll need to pay another £10 for data each month too).

Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max

For the flagship iPhone 15 Pro and Pro Max Mobiles.co.uk is offering deals from provider iD Mobile. The iPhone 15 Pro contract starts at £29.99 per month and comes with 100GB of data and unlimited UK calls and texts. Although shoppers should know there's an upfront fee of £239. The reason we've flagged it is because its £899 SIM-free price option is £100 cheaper than Apple's own site.

Sky Mobile offers the iPhone 15 Pro Max from £36 a month (for the device) and the data starts from an extra £5 per month for its smallest 5GB amount which is currently half price in its newest deal. If you were to pick the smallest data amount you'd pay £41 per month for the phone and data - although, shoppers should know that you will be tied into a minimum of 36 months. Argos offers the iPhone 15 Pro Max for an upfront £1,099 price, again this is cheaper than Apple but you'll need the hefty amount ready and waiting in your bank.

Our chosen iPhone 14 deals

Any iPhone that currently support iOS 17 will be compatible with the new iOS 18, however, the AI and new Siri updates are exclusively for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.

Standout deal:

Moving onto the iPhone 14, for those who're after a relatively new phone without paying for a flagship model. O2 is running its summer sale and the standard 128GB model and 150GB of O2Plus data is currently £45.80 per month on a 36-month plan.

Apple iPhone 14 Yellow

For those looking for the larger 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus, Argos has cut £100 off the price. Dropping to £599 for the 128GB device, it's a chance for upfront shoppers to bag a saving. Those who'd prefer to split the cost across a contract iD Mobile offers a 24-month contract offering the iPhone 14 Plys for £31.99 a month (with a £9 upfront fee) - that's £776.76 overall, a true standout deal.

For older models, like the 2022 iPhone SE and iPhone 13, we'd recommend Amazon's official Apple storefront. The Apple site doesn't stock older models of their iPhone for shoppers to buy so looking for third party approved retailers is one way to go.
