Chennedy Carter Sounds Alarm On Internal Chicago Sky Problem
The Chicago Sky went into Washington looking to snap a two-game losing streak. They were favored, facing a 1-12 Mystics squad, but an 83-81 loss extended their losing streak to three.
Sky guard Chennedy Carter spoke on the team's issues after the loss. Reporters were curious to know what had led to Chicago's three-game losing streak. They've now lost to the Connecticut Sun, Atlanta Dream, and Mystics.
Reporters questioned the team's coaching, first-half struggles, and lineup adjustments, but Carter doesn't believe it's anything specifically on the court.
"I just think there's something internally that we have to fix so Chicago can be successful," said Carter via Chicago Sky PR.

Carter believes it's an effort level for the Sky. The team is talented, but they're going through a slump. There are multiple pieces on the team that contribute on a consistent basis, like Carter, Dana Evans, and Angel Reese.
It's unknown if Carter is speaking on a mentality issue or potentially something with the Sky's preparation, but they'll need an answer sooner rather than later. Their loss drops them to 4-8 on the year after starting the season with a 2-1 record.
The Sky are back in action for a primetime matchup against the Indiana Fever on Sunday. Chicago lost the last matchup in a tight 71-70 loss, so they'll look for revenge in what seems like a desperate time for the Sky.
