Tech glitch sparks Aussie airport chaos
A nationwide technical issue sparked chaos at Sydney International Airport, with customers queuing for a kilometre as technicians scrambled to fix the issue.
The Australian Border Force (ABF) confirmed the outage on Saturday morning.
“We are aware of a technical issue impacting the smart gates at Sydney Airport,” a spokesman said, apologising for the delays.
“We are working to fix the issue as quickly as possible and have deployed additional officers to assist with facilitating travellers.”

It is understood the glitch has since been resolved.
