Lorraine Kelly excitedly jumps for Scotland at Euros as Kevin Bridges issues strong words
Lorraine Kelly couldn't contain her excitement as she was seen jumping for joy ahead of Scotland's first match at this year's Euros.
The TV presenter, 64, jetted to Germany to show her support to her home nation as the 2024 football competition got underway. She cheered on her team as they played host nation Germany on Friday night. Lorraine reported alongside football fans throughout the day as she got stuck into the action.
Dressed in a very fitting red tartan coat, Lorraine could be seen getting ready to report alongside ITV Sports presenter Connie McLaughlin. The pair were spotted giggling as they held their microphones and got ready to present live. Lorraine even jumped up and down on the spot as she tried to settle her nerves ahead of the match.
Connie shared the moment on her own social media account as she said: "Limbering up with @lorrainekellysmith." Lorraine also shared the moment on her own account. It came hours after the TV star made an appearance on her own ITV show Lorraine. She hosts her chat show Monday to Thursday with guest presenters stepping in to present the show on Fridays.
Ranvir Singh was at the helm on Friday morning and Lorraine made a surprise appearance from Germany. Talking to a crowd of football fans, Lorraine managed to carry on despite making a blunder. She went to talk to one crowd member to which she said: "Where's Callum? Now Callum..." to which the football fan replied: "Connor!" The crowd then started heckling Lorraine as they all reacted to the name blunder, shouting: "Whey!" and laughing loudly.

Lorraine laughed off the blunder joking: "I've been doing it wrong all the time, I've been doing it wrong all the time, I nearly called you Shirley but that's fine!" Back in the studio, Ranvir hilariously shared her concerns over talking to Lorraine while hosting the show. Ranvir quipped: "By the way, it's slightly nerve-racking because my boss is watching me do her job right now so this is a bit uncomfortable for me! So, off you go!" However, she added: "Have the time of your life, Lorraine, it is wonderful to see you there!"
Lorraine wasn't the only star to get in on Scotland's Euro start as comedian Kevin Bridges issued his own verdict on social media. Taking to X, he said: "Scotland just not taking their chances here." Fans replied as one said: "I would love a chance." Another added: "No Scotland no party? lmao." Someone else joked: "Where? What’s on? The election’s not until the 4th." A fourth asked: "What chances?"
As fans gathered in excitement ahead of the match, one young Scottish follower got a little over excited as they ended up dropping the F-word on live TV. A reporter from Sky News was in the midst of festivities in a Dumfermline pub as he told viewers: "The atmosphere here is electric."
As he ventured through the pub, he encountered eight-year-old Dylan. The conversation began smoothly as the reporter asked: "How are you feeling?", to which Dylan responded: "good." "Who do you think the score is going to be?", the reported added. A hopeful Dylan replied: "3-0." The journalist then moved on to another football fan. But just as he was receiving an answer, Dylan interrupted the exchange, startling the reporter: "what were you going to say?", he said, turning his microphone over to him. With all the attention now on him, the schoolboy yelled: "F*** Germany!"
