Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 11

Since the beginning of the day, June 11, 37 combat engagements have already taken place at the front. In the Pokrovsk sector, Russia continues attempts to break through Ukrainian defense in several areas, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Since the beginning of this day, 37 combat engagements have already taken place along the entire frontline. The Russian invaders carried out two missile attacks with two missiles, four air strikes with ten guided bombs, used 40 kamikaze drones, and fired about 500 times at the positions of Ukrainian troops and localities,” the General Staff says.

Situation at front

In the Kharkiv sector, Russia continues to attack in the direction of Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled two Russian attacks near Beresteve.

In the Lyman sector, the Ukrainian military repelled eight Russian attempts to improve their tactical position. Russians are currently concentrating their efforts near Terny. One assault was repelled, and three more firefights are ongoing. Fighting also continues in the areas of Druzheliubivka, Nevske, and Hryhorivka.

In the Siversk sector, 5 Russian attempts to advance in the areas of Verkhniokamianske and Vyimka were repelled. Another battle is currently underway near the latter settlement.

In the Kramatorsk sector, 3 Russian attacks have taken place since the beginning of the day. Fighting continues in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian troops are taking measures to prevent Russians from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory. Russia continues to try to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Sokol, Novoselivka Persha, and Yasnobrodivka. Seven combat engagements are currently underway.

In the Kurakhove sector, Russians launched two assault attacks. The battle is currently ongoing in the area of Krasnohorivka.

In the Huliaipole sector, Russians became more active in the vicinity of Charivne. 3 combat engagements are currently underway.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russians made 4 attempts to improve the tactical situation in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Shcherbaky.

Situation at frontline over past day

Over the past day, June 10, according to the General Staff, the Ukrainian military eliminated another 1,100 Russian troops. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, Russia has lost about 520,850 personnel.

According to analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Ukrainian soldiers launched a successful counterattack southwest of Donetsk and regained lost ground in the area of Solodke.
