'Not going to be the same without you' Gráinne Seoige signs off Ireland AM

Gráinne Seoige has said slán to her Ireland AM family 'for a while' to focus on a different project.

The Galway native co-hosts the Virgin Media programme on weekend mornings alongside Martin King and Síomha Ní Ruairc.

Gráinne and Síomha have now flown the Ireland AM nest for the time being in order to focus on filming the upcoming second season of Grá ar an Trá, an Irish language dating show they co-host with influencer James Kavanagh.

Bidding farewell to the Ireland AM team, Gráinne shared sweet snaps of her and Síomha's last day on air, writing: 'And just like that my last weekend for a while on Ireland AM is done! Síomha and myself are heading off to An Ghaeltacht to make S2 of Grá ar an Trá with James Kavanagh.'

'And then there is a big celebration at the end of the month! Síomha and Cathal,' the Galway native continued, referencing her colleague's upcoming wedding. 'Thank you to everyone on the Ireland AM team it’s been a pure joy and especially to Martin King “fintistic”.'

In a farewell of her own, Síomha wrote: 'Last day of school vibes! What a joyous couple of months with this gang. Now myself and Gráinne are heading off to film another project for a bit and then I’ve a bit of an occasion myself towards the end of the month...'

'Thank you SO much to the best crew and team Ireland AM for the bláthanna and never-ending help and FUN in this deadly job. Grá mór and see you in July!!!'

A host of Ireland AM viewers flocked to social media to say the show isn't 'going to be the same' without the dynamic trio Gráinne, Síomha and Martin.

'Will really miss you love the three of you together, best team you are a breath of fresh air Gráinne and Síomha congrats and enjoy. Martin will miss you both,' one user penned, as another agreed: 'Ye are the dream team! What a duo and trio with Martin.'
