Maybank banking app, website, debit card transactions temporarily unavailable

KUALA LUMPUR (May 23): Malayan Banking Bhd (KL:MAYBANK) on Thursday said that its Maybank2u website and mobile phone apps, including MAE, Maybank2u and Maybank2u Biz, as well as debit card transactions will be temporarily unavailable.

Malaysia’s largest banking group by assets informed its customers of the down time on its X (formerly known as Twitter) account at 6.55pm on Thursday.

"Kindly be informed that MAE app, Maybank2u (web and app), Maybank2u Biz (web and app) and debit card transactions are temporarily unavailable," it said but did not say why.

“We are working to resolve the matter as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding,” it added.
