Robert Lewandowski doubles down on Barcelona transfer stance

Robert Lewandowski has reiterated that he sees his future at Barcelona despite constant speculation linking him with a move away from the club.

The Poland international’s goals were pivotal in securing Barca the La Liga title in his debut season, and since he has racked up 58 strikes in all competitions.

However, with Barca still hampered by the effects of years of financial mismanagement, Lewandowski has consistently been touted for a potential exit as one of their top earners.

The former Bayern Munich forward, who struggled for form in parts throughout 2023/24, has previously confirmed he wants to stay at Barca and has once again told Spanish media of his desire to win more titles with his current club.

He told Mundo Deportivo: "Of course, for me it is super clear. I want to win many titles with Barcelona and I am sure that next season we will be even stronger and we will also win titles.

"I always want the best, not just for me, but for my teammates and I am sure that this team will win titles next season because I see what we do each day. For me that is what matters because this a club that I hold close to my heart and I want to give a lot for the team and the club."

Barca will likely have to sell players to free up space for new arrivals and only a few stars have been made unavailable by the club for the upcoming summer transfer window.

La Masia graduates Pedri, Gavi, Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi and Fermin Lopez have all been labelled as not for sale, but left-back Alejandro Balde could depart if a suitable offer arrives.

Lewandowski's own prospects of staying could be boosted if former Bayern manager Hansi Flick is appointed as Xavi's successor at the end of the season, with reports indicating a deal in principle has been agreed with the former Germany boss.
