"You Can't Lie": Antonio Brown's $50K Asset Claim in Bankruptcy Disputed as a Ploy to Escape $3 Million Debt

'Is he broke or is he not?' is the question. Ever since retiring from the NFL after his controversial exit by walking out of an ongoing game shirtless in 2021, Antonio Brown has remained in the spotlight. It's mostly thanks to his controversial takes on social media that has kept the fire burning since. From pop icons to rising athletes, no one escapes Brown and his news outlet CTESPN's harsh digs.  Antonio Brown, worth $20 million, enjoyed an extravagant lifestyle after his NFL retirement. Since then, he has also tried his hands at music and business but the dough doesn't seem to be coming in as quickly as he anticipated. He recently made a shocking announcement on his financial state. But could it be a ploy?

Is Antonio Brown really broke?

In a recent YouTube video, FOOTBALLVILLE discusses Antonio Brown's recent announcement via CTESPN that he has filed for bankruptcy. The retired NFL star kept the tone light as he broke the news but it has sparked mixed reactions on social media with so many dropping their speculations on it. As the channel's host viewed, "I think a lot of people need to be educated because a lot of us go at what the television says and if you listen to her explain bankruptcy, you can't lie it has nothing to do with being broke."

According to findings in federal bankruptcy court in Florida, Antonio Brown owes almost $3 million to about eight creditors. But he claimed $50K less in assets in his Chapter 11 bankruptcy file that allows a person to reorganize their finances with protection over creditors. In the filing, there were no indications of loans in the Capital Region, AFL, and former Albany Empire players. He listed Avanti Solutions as a creditor to whom he owed $28,589. But Brown put this piece of news in the shadows with his expectant future.

Antonio Brown is set for new ventures

Despite revealing that he's bankrupt, spirits are still soaring with a bright prospect. After revealing his not-so-impressive bankruptcy statement, Antonio Brown jumps straight into the excitement of what's ahead. In the announcement on CTESPN, he also wrote, "He will be a first ballot hall of famer in 2027. He will be releasing new music this summer. He is also the founder of the most trusted source in all of sports."Â  Antonio Brown's collaboration with rapper Kanye West goes further than DondaSports. They're also venturing in the music field together and the former NFL star has shown his prowess as a rapper more than once. Some days ago, he teased his fans on IG with a thriller posting, "AB x Ye soon. New Music All Summer." Whatever result falls on whoever's favor, we still hope Antonio Brown finds another path after football to cement his status.
