Patricia Jaggernauth on why she's taken her fight against Bell Media public
Unfortunately, people see themselves in this story, in my story, in all the adversities, in the racism, the tokenism, the inabilities of growing because of what you may look like, you know, maybe not being the favorite in the industry, not doing certain things out of your character. You know, people's stories matter, and there's a lot of us out here. And I just feel like unless you're banging down the door and kicking in the door and smashing these glass ceilings. Sometimes, if you don't make a big public outcry like this when you can, you're never heard. So I'm doing this for those who don't have a voice as well because it yes it is my story, but the commonalities in my story are actually quite disgusting that I have over 2000 DMS saying to people I can't speak up because I'll lose my job, I can't speak up because I have my bills to pay, I can't speak up. Because I will be shunned from my industry and I'll never work again and I'm the breadwinner. There's there's so many stories, Olivia. And me doing this is just proving that it was the right thing to do.
