The vehicle is used to disperse surging crowds, as witnessed these past few weeks during the anti-Finance Bill protests.
Given that it is a popular phenomenon in Kenya, TUKO.co.ke shares the details, cost, and interior photos of the Titan.
What is the Titan's capacity?
The Anti-Riot Vehicle, known affably as the Water Cannon, is manufactured in South Korea by Jino Motors.
Jino Motors states that the Titan can carry up to 12,000 litres of water and has an effective shooting distance of 70 meters.
The cabin at the front can carry two persons in the front seats and three at the back.
It has an obstacle remover blade and metal net protection for the windows and lighting.

How much does a Water Cannon Truck cost?
The fuselage is reinforced with steel to protect the occupants from stones thrown by protestors.
It is powered by a 12.8-litre engine, available in both automatic and manual transmission options, which produces up to 480 horsepower.
Since the Titan is categorized as an armoured vehicle, each truck costs about KSh 20 million.
What shooting modes does it have?
It has three types of shooting modes: Continuous, Pulse and Flushing, with centralized controls from inside the cabin
The main water gun has two units on the roof, which elevate between 25 and 90 degrees and can rotate at 320 degrees.
It has one fixed nozzle on the front bumper, which shoots straight at least 25 meters.

On the sides of the truck exist four fixed nozzles that can shoot a minimum of 25 metres sideways.
If the water is thrown at an object or individual at close range, the pressure can cause serious injury or worse.
The Titan also has a metal net for the front and side bullet-full windows, as well as two emergency exits.
Its high-intensity LED lights provide night vision for the driver, but they are sometimes used to temporarily blind the protestors.

Titan can also shoot teargas
It is fitted with a nozzle that can draw water from rivers, hydrants, and tanks.
Chemicals can be mixed in the water tank while the guns are still shooting with a 3, 6 and 9% proportion control.
Apart from water and chemicals, the vehicle can also shoot foam, tear gas, and dye.

Titan can run on flat tyres
Although it has clear ventilation, cabin pressure can be increased to keep external gas out.
It has a self-fire-fighting system with sprinklers on the top and bottom of the truck.
If the wheels are deflated, it can drive on flat tyres for 50km at 50 kilometres per hour.
The Titan is also fitted with front and rear surveillance cameras for digital video recording.

What optional features does it have?
According to Jino Motors, the Titan can be customised for cabin armouring protection.
If the client requests, it can also be fitted with a 15,000-litre tank and a drone surveillance system.
Other optional features include a sound cannon, a C/S gas launcher, a live broadcasting system, and a photo printing system.
