House of the Dragon Season Two: Perth’s Renae Bunster collaborates with Binge to create hot sauce

Perth’s very own Renae Bunster and spicy condiment mastermind has turned up the heat with the exclusive release of House of the Dragon-inspired hot sauces.

Bunster, who created her hot sauce brand Bunsters in 2012, has sourced the hottest chillies in the world — Carolina Reapers — to cook up a green and black sauce in celebration of the popular Game of Thrones spin-off season two release.

As Westeros teeters on the edge of a bloody civil war, fans can now choose a sauce that aligns with their allegiance and help the Green and Black Councils settle their scores as they vie for the Iron Throne.

The Black Sauce for Queen Rhaenyra supporters, Dracarys, features the relentless spice of the Carolina Reaper, Scorpion and Birds Eye chillies — be prepared for a delicious but slow burn.

The Green Sauce for King Aegon supporters, Revenge, contains Green Habaneros, Charapitas and Jalapenos — expect punchy and sharp heat.

Bunster said she was tasked with making the sauces as hot as possible, like “dragon breath”.

“So to get it super hot I had to use the hottest chillies in the world — Carolina Reapers. A friend in America made a black sauce a few years ago so I reached out to her and got the hot tip on how to do it,” she said.

“I liken (the green sauce) to copping a sword of King Aegon in the mouth, whereas the black one is like being burned alive by a Targaryen dragon.

“To collaborate with Binge is incredible, unreal and ridiculous at the same time! This is one of the craziest things to happen to me since I started making hot sauce.”

Fans of the show will have a chance to get their hands on one of 10 bottles in a giveaway that launched on Monday.

Bunster shared her tips on what to eat with sauce for the limited lucky winners.

“I recommend these sauces are applied directly to whatever you’re eating and you should definitely share them with friends, but it has to be while you’re watching House of the Dragon,” she said.

In a fiery challenge that separates the bold from the faint-hearted, Binge put celebrities and influencers alike to the test.

House of the Dragon cast Harry Collett and Bethany Antonia, The Real Housewives of Sydney stars Caroline Gaultier and Krissy Marsh and social media sensations Luke and Sassy Scott were just some of the famous faces to scorch their tastebuds.

It also must be known that fans have been warned following strict safety warnings included on the bottles.

“Do not consume if you are sensitive to spicy foods or have any respect for your rectum whatsoever,” one warning said.

Another read: “Consumption of this sauce may induce a trip to the porcelain throne.”

The first two episodes of House of the Dragon Season Two are available to stream on BINGE with new episodes dropping every Monday.

Fans eager to win their very own set should head to https://instagram.com/BINGE and find the pinned giveaway post.

Bunsters was born after the entrepreneur returned from a trip to Mexico and couldn’t find any hot sauces to match the Mexican equivalent in Perth so she set about creating her own.

Bunsters flagship sauce Sh.t the Bed has been a no.1 best seller on Amazon USA multiple times.

The hottest sauce Black Label was featured on cult YouTube chat show Hot Ones and was eaten by Natalie Portman, Johnny Knoxville and Jeff Goldblum.

Bunster was also hand-selected by Gordon Ramsay to represent him on Food Stars Australia.
