He expressed frustration, claiming that his efforts in politics have not brought him the rewards he expected despite prioritising people's needs.
Sudi criticised those who flaunt their wealth and contributions during fundraisers, arguing that they do not understand the challenges he faces behind the scenes. He even proposed a ban on fundraisers.
"Going forward, I'll not participate in any Harambee because it has been used to malign and disparage the good course. Let it be banned. Thus the current happenings in the country call for introspection and consequently, I'm taking a sabbatical leave from public engagements. I am doing much in politics than what I do for myself," he said.
Sudi mentioned taking a leave of up to two years, indicating a possible return to his passion for supporting church construction projects, if it aligns with God's wishes.
"I am going because of the envious remarks and noise I have heard from the people. It will be for one or two years. If God enables me, I will return and rebuild the churches that aren't in good shape," he added.
His remarks come in response to accusations linking him to corruption, which emerged after his multi-million club was vandalized by protesters.
