What was Bob Collymore suffering from?
The former Safaricom CEO succumbed to leukaemia cancer at his Nairobi home aged 61. He was cremated a few days later at the Kariokor crematorium, and his wife Wambui Kamiru, has always remembered him.
Collymore touched the hearts of many while still alive and Kenyans always pay glowing tributes to him on random days.

Collymore and Wambui, the founder of The ArtSpace, an independent visual artspace, tied the knot in a star-studded ceremony in April 2016.
Their wedding, which was held at an upmarket residence in Kitisuru, was attended by the who-is-who in Kenya, among them CEOs and top celebrities.
During Collymore's fifth death anniversary, Wambui recalled the moment her husband's body was moved to the Lee Funeral Home just after his death.
"At about this time five years ago, I had just got to Lee Funeral home. the body remembers, and the love remains constant," she shared.
Wambui also posted white flying doves emoji and Kenyans joined her in celebrating the life of Collymore.

Wambui reminisces good old days with Collymore
In January 2023, Wambui posthumously celebrated Collymore's 65th birthday by sharing a never-seen photo of him in an afro wig.
In the photo she shared on her Twitter page, Collymore was in a beige coat and a pink shirt while she laid her chin on his shoulder with her hand wrapped around his shoulder.
