NAB customers hit by widespread outages: ‘The app is down’

NAB customers have been locked out of their accounts on digital and online services, with the bank working to resolve the issue.
Internet banking is “temporarily unavailable”, NAB said on its website, while tweets to customers on X, formerly Twitter, confirmed its app was out of action too.
“Our Internet Banking/NAB app are experiencing issues,” NAB told one customer.
“Our tech team are working to resolve this ASAP. We’re sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.”

Customers took to social media to question NAB about the problem, saying “the banking app is down”.
User reports to Downdetector spiked to close to 1400 around midday, with more than 80 per cent relating to online banking issues.
NAB was sought for comment.
