Bryce Young has done his best to stay strong mentally even through the rough stretch of the 2023 NFL season. Jason Jones of CBS Sports asked Bryce about how he handles everything that he had to deal with last season. “That’s something that I’ve thought about and wrestled with a lot,” Young said. “And I’ve tried just to suppress everything and stay flatline, and it was really hard. It didn’t really work.”
The Carolina Panthers have significantly revamped their offense this off-season, aiming to support their star quarterback. They made a strategic trade with the Steelers to acquire receiver Diontae Johnson and spent considerable money on offensive linemen Robert Hunt and Damien Lewis to bolster their protection. In the draft, the Panthers traded into the first round to secure South Carolina receiver Xavier Legette and former Texas Longhorn Jonathon Brooks, the top running back available.
These additions signify a commitment to giving Young the tools he needs to succeed. The Panthers are not only investing in player talent but also nurturing Young’s evolving leadership style. His more relaxed approach, allowing for moments of levity and self-correction, aims to create a balanced and dynamic presence on the field. With these changes, the Panthers are poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season.
