Eagles Have Positioned Themselves Well for Future Success
Over the years, the Philadelphia Eagles have always been known as an old, veteran-laden team.
For many years (2009, 2019, 2020), that overwhelming veteran talent kept them from reaching their full potential. After all, veteran players are more prone to injuries and have less playing time overall.
Things have changed in Philadelphia. The team is still full of veterans, but those veterans happen to be significantly younger than the Chris Longs, LeGarrette Blount, and Alshon Jeffreys of the world.

Entering 2024, the Eagles are significantly younger across the board on both sides of the ball. The average age of starters on offense is just 24 years old. On defense, that number is just 25 years old.
Philadelphia isn't without their aging veterans like Brandon Graham, but they are significantly overwhelmed by younger talent itching for their opportunity.
A stark contrast from years past.
The reality is that the Eagles have created a roster full of top talent that hasn't fully entered the prime of their careers yet but is strong already to compete for a championship.
It makes them one of the youngest starting lineups in the game, and a group more than capable of staying around for the long haul.
So while many analysts may think of the Eagles as an aging team, the reality is quite the opposite entering 2024 and beyond/
