Kaizer Chiefs announces SIX departures including goalkeeper coach
Kaizer Chiefs have announced six departures on Saturday morning.
One name that came as a surprise was that of Rainer Dinkelacker. The 75-year-old goalkeeper coach was recalled at the start of last season to assist in the goalkeeping department.
“We thank him and his family for allowing him to leave Germany and rejoin the team to share his knowledge with the coaches and our goalkeepers,” the club said in a statement.
Colombian striker, Efmamjjasond Gonzalez, who joined Kaizer Chiefs on a one-season loan deal has left the club. Having failed to score in 13 appearances, the striker has returned to his mother Club, Real Santa Cruz, in Bolivia.

Other players who have been released are Keagan Dolly, Sifiso Hlanti, Siyethemba Sithebe and Njabula Ngcobo. The club have announced that preseason training has started
“Kaizer Chiefs players and technical staff returned to Club headquarters in Naturena at the start of the week for testing, assessments and pre-season training.
As the management team, we are resolute in our determination to rectify the situation and ensure we turn things around in the new season. We have thoroughly reviewed the season and have begun making appropriate changes as we get underway with preparations for the new season,” the club said.
Kaizer Chiefs are also set to unveil Nasreddine Nabi as their head coach next week. The 58-year-old Tunisian coach is currently with FAR Rabat ahead of the team’s final match of the season.
“The club will soon announce the new coach and his technical team, Amakhosi said in a statement. “The team will be tasked with guiding the team back to winning ways as we approach our 55-year anniversary.”
Although Kaizer Chiefs have remained quiet about Nabi’s appointment, the former Yanga coach has confirmed the news. He is expected to join the team this coming week.
