‘Critical incident’ declared in NSW town of Casino, woman found dead
A woman in her 40s has died in the northern New South Wales town of Casino.
A 31-year-old man, believed to be known to the woman, has been arrested.
Police have declared a ‘critical incident’, saying in a statement: “A crime scene has been established and a critical incident team from Tweed/Byron Police District will now investigate all circumstances surrounding the incident – including all aspects of the response from NSW Police.
“That investigation will be subject to an independent review.”
The woman died at a house after police arrived.
