Christian Eckes leads all the way, secures Triple Truck Challenge prize in Nashville triumph
Christian Eckes powered to his third victory of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, leading all 150 laps Friday night at Nashville Superspeedway.
Eckes went wire-to-wire in the Rackley Roofing 200, sweeping the stages and guiding the No. 19 McAnally-Hilgemann Racing Chevrolet to a 2.028-second margin of victory. His first win at the 1.33-mile concrete track was the eighth of his Truck Series career.
The victory meant an extra $50,000 payday for Eckes as the winner of the third and final race in this year’s Triple Truck Challenge incentive program. Other winners of the bonus in the three-race series this season were Corey Heim and Nick Sanchez.
Daniel Dye completed a 1-2 sweep for MHR, finishing a career-best second in the No. 43 Chevrolet. Heim drove home third, with Rajah Caruth fourth and Tyler Ankrum completing the top five.
Clint Bowyer finished 17th in his first NASCAR national-series start since the end of the 2020 season. The former Cup Series standout, now a FOX Sports analyst, was involved in a multi-truck stack-up a Lap 60 restart, damaging his No. 7 Spire Motorsports Chevrolet.
The Craftsman Truck Series’ next race is the CRC Brakleen 175, scheduled Friday, July 12 at Pocono Raceway.
