WA Police investigate man’s death following car crash into dam
A man has died after his vehicle veered off the road and crashed into a dam near Perth.
The horrific crash happened about 10pm Wednesday near Sawyers Valley, 40km east of Perth.
The 34-year-old man was driving a blue Mitsubishi Lancer hatchback when it went off the road.
WA Police are now investigating the fatal crash, NewsWire has confirmed.

The police winched the car out of the water and recovered the man’s body, which was discovered inside the car.
Residents in the area spoke with 7News about the tragedy.
“I just saw the tail lights under the water, that was all,” witness Chris Woodward said.
Mr Woodward said he dialled triple-0, sparking an emergency response from paramedics, the police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
