ITV Coronation Street spoilers expose Lauren Bolton twist and hospital dash for Toyah

Next week on Coronation Street, a breakthrough in the case of missing Lauren Bolton (Cait Fitton) could be on the horizon as suspicion grows around Joel Deering (Callum Lill).

Lauren is still unaccounted for and presumed dead, with Nathan Curtis (Christopher Harper) currently under investigation for her disappearance and alleged murder. However, viewers are aware that the real culprit is Joel, who has set his sights on other young women.

In other news, the focus shifts to helping Roy Cropper (David Neilson) recover after his stint in prison and battle with depression. Yasmeen Nazir (Shelley King), Nina Lucas (Mollie Gallagher), and Shona Platt (Julia Goulding) join forces to devise a plan, which involves Shona feigning illness to coax Roy back into the cafe.

Upon hearing the smoke alarm, he leaves his flat and agrees to lend a hand at work.

Also in episodes in the first week of July, Bethany Platt (Lucy Fallon) and Shona notice a supermarket transaction on a credit card statement and speculate it might have been a click-and-collect order. The duo then scramble to find potential CCTV evidence.

Bernie Winter (Jane Hazlegrove) is eager to discuss with her son, Kit Green (Jacob Roberts), how they can reveal to Gemma Winter (Dolly-Rose Campbell) and Paul Foreman (Peter Ash) that they have a brother. Unbeknownst to her, while she waits in the Rovers to chat about it, Kit is already spilling the beans about their DNA link.

Elsewhere, Steve McDonald (Simon Gregson) is heartbroken when he discovers that his close friends Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) and Sally Webster (Sally Dynevor) are attending the unveiling of Tommy Orpington's bust. Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney) proposes they crash the party to confront them, but upon arrival, they spot an opportunity for revenge.

What will they do, and will they be caught out?

Also, DS Lisa Swain’s (Vicky Myers) daughter, Betsy starts her work experience at the factory and Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) and Carla Connor (Alison King) are impressed with her machining skills. But that doesn’t last when Carla catches Betsy texting and confiscates her phone.

Meanwhile, Toyah Battersby (Georgia Taylor) is in for a shock when she's rushed to the hospital due to severe stomach pains. Nick Tilsley (Ben Price) quickly takes her to the hospital while he and Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson) anxiously wait by her side.

But the surprises don't end there - Toyah is hit with another unexpected revelation from the doctor. What could this shocking news be?
