Mel Stride praises Sunak's 'clarity' ahead of TV debate

When I watch these debates, I genuinely think that Rishi Sunak, whatever your criticisms may or may not be of him, is always very clear as to what the challenge is and what the plan is to meet the challenge, and he always sets it out very clearly. When I listen to Keir Starmer, I hear a lot about what the challenges are and we all know what those are. I hear absolutely nothing about a plan to address them. And I think there are some areas where it's really concerning where we don't know with Labour where they're going to go with additional tax rises. We know that they're going to have to make them. We know they haven't ruled out tax rises over. Large number of different areas, council tax for example, tax on pensioners, tax on if you own a home, your family, your business, your job, you know, they've really got to step forward and tell us exactly what it is they're going to do when it comes to tax rises because we might be having a budget in just ten weeks time.
