Current left-back Sifiso Hlanti is 33 years old and out of contract at the end of the campaign. Amakhosi has been linked with several replacement options including Riaan Hanamub, Fawaaz Basadien and now Tanzanian star Mohamed Hussein. Now, according to Soccer-Laduma, a deal for Hussein is at an advanced stage.

MOHAMED HUSSEIN SET FOR CHIEFS

“The club has now embarked on looking for a left back who could possibly replace Sifiso (Hlanti). They want to bring in Tanzanian Mohamed (Hussein) but that can only happen after the Afcon as the player is part of the Tanzania national team that is currently at Afcon. He was even in the squad that lost 30 to Morocco, so everything will be finalised after Afcon,” said one source to the publication.
