Yankees claim Taylor Trammell off waivers from Dodgers
The New York Yankees claimed outfielder Taylor Trammell off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers, the team announced Thursday.
Trammell, 26, spent three seasons with the Seattle Mariners (2021-2023) before he was waived and then claimed by the Dodgers on April 2. He spent two weeks with the Dodgers, appearing in only five games and going hitless in six plate appearances.

Yankees claim Taylor Trammell off waivers from Dodgers
He was the No. 35 overall pick in the 2016 MLB Draft by the Cincinnati Reds. He was traded to the San Diego Padres in 2019 at the trade deadline and then to the Mariners in 2020. He made his debut with the Mariners in 2021.
In 351 plate appearances with the Mariners, Trammell had a .168/.270/.368 slash line with 15 home runs and 39 RBI from the left side of the plate.
To make room for Trammell on the 40-man roster, the Yankees designated infielder Kevin Smith for assignment.
