Nationals Leader David Littleproud says the Coalition has a policy Australians “can have confidence in” as it will give the country “reliable, affordable power”.
Opposition leader Peter Dutton is being criticised for delaying the release of his nuclear energy policy.
The Coalition was set to unveil the full details of its nuclear plans before the May Budget.
“There’s an Australian way to do this with this thing called common sense – that’s what the Nationals will continue to prosecute with Peter Dutton,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Australia.
“I think we will have a policy that the Australian people can have confidence in that will give us reliable, affordable power that will live up to our international commitments that we made by 2050.”
