Who wore Met Gala’s ‘Garden of Time’ theme best?
Let’s breakdown the ensembles. We have today’s style correspondent, Zanna Roberts. Rossi, Zanna, this is kind of your Super Bowl. A lot of fun. A lot of. Let’s breakdown the look. Susan Daya had two looks. I had two. So it’s very unusual for anyone to actually do a change. She looped up the stairs, got changed and then came back down South. Her first look here was Mason Margella and this is a couture look by John Galliano and it’s a 1999 remake of a Dior dress. There is a lot going on here, but she can carry it off. She treats everything like a performance. She she said her alter ego kicks in when she’s on the carpet and she really went for it. Then that makeup. The beauty was on point by yes. Absolutely. And she did the quick change. Are we gonna look at the second the quick change into a black version. I mean this is the midnight version of this the real flowers in her hair and this is like one of those archival looks that was brought back to life. So one of the sleeping beauties that was referenced Jlo. I I think it’s when maybe the best she’s ever looked best ever. I absolutely agree this is my favorite Jlo look ever. She wore Schiaparelli with the giant Tiffany necklace. This has the contiguous, like literally just hanging off her there with those beautiful gowns. And this actually took 2500 silver bugle beads and 800 hours of hand embroidery. Wow, gorgeous. Let’s talk about Kim K wow. She was a show stopper. That gravity defying corset was how did what can you tell us what’s going on? Chris Appleton, her hairdresser was with us after and I was like, how long did that take to get on? He’s like, actually it wasn’t too much of a problem. But I love the idea of this chain made. It’s the hardness of the dress. But then with this soft little Alero cardigan, I think cardigan is going to sell out today. Put it that way. And listen, no one has earned some elastic pants today more than Kim. I mean that It was like, very uncomfortable. She always leaves and goes and all just doughnuts straight away. Yeah, OK, probably Munchkins. Exactly. OK, Cardi B, that was a dress. That wasn’t it. A dress. So this was by a new designer who we’ve never seen on the wet Met copy for Window Sun. And this was took two months in the works and nine people carried her on to this carpet. Guys, it was so amazing to watch all this, like team of entourage of people carry her on and then look at these nails and the emeralds in the ears. Could she do the stairs or was that impossible? They all had to carry. They all stare. Yeah, there’s some lightning round because they are giving us like 30 seconds. Yeah. I thought Wendy Kaylee looked best dressed. Yeah. Guav Gupta and she had this. It was the melting flower of time, one of the most sculptural pieces. Indian courtorier. OK Gigi Hadid. Yes. I think this was my absolute favorite on the red carpet. Disagree. It was Tom Brown. Absolutely beautiful. 2.8 million microbeads in this. And they were all 3D flowers. Last two real quick. Nicole Kidman up first for a few seconds and then Janelle Monáe, custom blendsiaga. This was her reference from an old dress and she basically had it been made from 1951. Uh huh. And how about Janelle Monáe? She had a gorgeous dress. One of my favourites. Vera Wang. Absolutely beautiful. And this was made from recycled sustainable bottles. Oh really? Yeah. Wow. Wow. Zana, thank you so much. Thank you. So gonna see you again with more of the Met Gala. You’re gonna come on the 4th hour so we’ll visit again. She’s in the garden theme too.
