‘what do you like about rahul gandhi?’ amit shah’s one-line response | times now exclusive

New Delhi: During an exclusive interview with Navika Kumar, Group Editor-In-Chief of Times Now, Union Home Minister Amit Shah discussed various aspects of the ongoing Lok Sabha elections. However, when queried about Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Shah offered a one-line response. When the Home Minister was asked what he liked about Rahul Gandhi, he said “It’s for his mother to see what is good or bad about him.”

“It is not my responsibility, it’s his mother’s responsibility to see about his good or bad,” Amit Shah said.

Amit Shah dismissed Rahul Gandhi’s tall claims, including the claim of directly crediting women’s accounts. The BJP minister labelled the Congress leader’s statements as falsehoods, asserting that the public does not accept such claims at face value.

“Votes are not given on such claims, Indira Gandhi said we’ll remove poverty but it’s been done by Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji. Congress has just one thing, ‘speak lies, repeat it again and again, say that publicly and nobody hears then speak out loudly. On this, they have run their 4 generations,” Shah said.

Amit Shah launched a blistering critique of the Congress party, particularly its election manifesto, highlighting several issues faced by the party in the Lok Sabha 2024 elections. Shah pointed out three key crises within the grand old party.

When questioned about the state of crisis within the Congress, Shah responded, “There is a crisis of candidates, a crisis of leadership, a crisis of intent, and a crisis of policy.”

In his criticism of the Congress’s election manifesto, Shah drew parallels with the Muslim League, questioning the party’s stance on supporting minority personal laws.

The first two phases have concluded, with Phase 3 scheduled for May 7, Phase 4 for May 13, Phase 5 for May 20, Phase 6 for May 25, and Phase 7 for June 1. The crucial counting of votes is set for June 4.
