President Sheikh Mohamed held a telephone conversation with Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday.
During the call, the two leaders emphasised the critical need to ensure the region’s security and stability, state news agency Wam reported.
Sheikh Mohamed and Mr Erdogan also discussed a number of regional and international topics and issues of common interest and ways to strengthen them.
They also talked about strengthening economic and developmental ties to encourage growth across the UAE and Turkey.
The call comes weeks after the two leaders discussed the Gaza conflict during a meeting in Dubai on day two of the World Governments Summit.
Sheikh Mohamed discussed strengthening bilateral relations with Mr Erdogan, and how best to boost the countries’ economic partnership.
He also highlighted the growth in UAE-Turkish relations, especially in investment, trade, energy, technology and sustainable development.
