It’s not every day you see Olympic and Paralympic athletes strut their stuff on a runway, but they did this Tuesday morning because they were revealing what they’re going to be wearing at the upcoming Olympic Games. The podium jacquard features a modern take. What was it like? I saw the hair flip. I saw that passion walking down that runway. What was that experience like? Wow, It was a totally different experience. I’m not. I’m not used to it. But it was so fun. I was so happy and honored that Lululemon has given us the opportunity to not only have us do something completely different from our sport, but also showcase our personalities. Split second there. I thought I messed up, but it was OK. I did it and yeah, it was super fun. And he’s showcasing functionality from break dancers to volleyball to artistic gymnastic athletes. They all work the runway to showcase the different kids they will support from the opening ceremonies through the closing ceremonies. Knowing and and learning about everyone’s journey to get to where they are now is very inspiring. It really puts into perspective how much we’ve worked hard, all the sacrifices we’ve made and. Just seeing all of us succeed in our own sports and our own life and being here today, as I said, it’s very inspiring. Olympics are 101 days away with the Paralympics starting shortly after, and all of the athletes are trying to stay focused for the biggest moment on the biggest stage of their careers. Trying to not get over excited too early. There’s still a lot of training to be done in preparation of our team. We did our last racing, so now I just got to train and get ready for Paris. And so yeah, the excitement’s there, but trying not to get too excited yet. For me, it’s just staying on the board, keeping healthy and like having a good environment of people around me that I enjoy going skateboarding with and you know, one day at a time. Someone who knows all too well about those big moments. The great one. Wayne Gretzky was at the event to support Canada’s athletes. I remember the first time I put it on, I was so proud to be a Canadian. And that’s what these kids are going to feel like when they put on their the first time they put, whether it’s opening ceremony or when they do their first event, it’s really something you can’t even describe.
