Wallabies settle on new coach after Eddie Jones – report

Eddie Jones controversially left the Wallabies top job after the Rugby World Cup after a highly disappointing stint that ended with the Australian team bowing out at the pool stage.

However, according to the Sydney Morning Herald, the Wallabies are poised to unveil former Ireland coach and All Blacks assistant Joe Schmidt as their new head coach in the coming days.

Schmidt, 58, coached Ireland from 2013 to 2019 and was highly influential when he assisted Ian Foter at the All Blacks up until last year’s World Cup.

Apparently there is just the final paper work to now be completed.
