Yo, what up dog? I heard you got some beef with me. And then he came in the they like, started blowing up and shooting everyone in the cafeteria. And then you could hear him laughing and running upstairs. We don’t have to be insensitive. We just have to be determined. But I’m telling you, you know, we don’t do something about this gun show loophole. We’re going to continue to have serious, serious problems by the end of the morning. It was the worst day of violence on the college campus in American history. And for many of you here today, it was the worst day of your lives. It’s impossible to make sense of such violence and suffering. Those whose lives were taken did nothing to deserve their fate. They were simply in the wrong place at the wrong time. Now they’re gone, and they leave behind grieving families and grieving classmates and a grieving nation. And these children are our children, and we’re going to have to come together and take meaningful action to prevent more tragedies like this, regardless of the politics. And so, you know, we’re going to have to come together as a country to see how we can prevent these issues from taking place. But today, it’s about the families and their grief and the love we feel for them. And they surely do appreciate all the support that they’ve received. Yes, it’s been going on too long, too many instances. And we’re going to get it done. Honor to have you here. We’re going to be listening. Airports. We protect concerts, stadiums, embassies, the Department of Education that I walked in today that has a security guard in the elevator and I’m pissed because my daughter, I’m not going to see you again. She’s not here. She’s not here. She’s at in in North Lauderdale at whatever it is, King David Cemetery. That’s where I go to see my kid now. I was scared for her. I didn’t know what to do. I shouldn’t be going through this at my school. Like this is my daily life. I shouldn’t have to feel like that. And I feel scared to even go back. This is not something that you should feel throughout the day. Being scared, especially somewhere where we stay, the pledge allegiance, like, I don’t know, it’s just I shouldn’t feel like this. This has been going on too long in our country, too many years, too many decades. Now we grieve for the terrible loss of life and send our support and love to everyone affected by this absolutely horrific attack. To the students, families, teachers and personnel at Santa Fe High, we’re with you in this tragic hour and we will be with you forever. As a nation, we have to ask when in God’s name are we going to stand up to the gun lobby? When in God’s name we do. We all know and our gut needs to be done. Mr. President, if there’s any action that you can take on guns or do you think it’s all up to Congress on this point? I have gone the full extent of my executive authority to do on my own anything about guns. And what is the president? Wait, wait, wait, wait a minute. The Congress has to add the majority of the American people think having assault weapons is bizarre, to show you the idea we’re against that. And so I think the Congress should be passing an assault over that. I want to remind you the last time we passed this, all was saying violent treaties went down, that treaties went down for saying about how many years? It was nine years. And so. So I can’t do anything except plead with the Congress to act reasonably, yes.
