Korean man dies in fall from hotel
MANILA, Philippines — A Korean man reportedly fell to his death from a hotel in Malate, Manila yesterday.
The 26-year-old man, identified only as W Lee, died at the scene from multiple injuries in different parts of the body, according to a report from the Manila Police District (MPD).
The man checked into the V Hotel at 5:30 p.m. on April 6 and was last seen alive at around 7:35 p.m. on April 8, “paying his unit rent at the ground floor lobby,” police said.
A hotel employee told police that she was preparing a meal when she heard a loud thud from the parking entrance.
When the employee went to check, she saw the man lying on the ground, “bloodied and unresponsive,” and sought help from a hotel security guard, who reported the incident to the Adriatico police community precinct.
The Korean – who was barefoot and clad in a white shirt and black pants – was found at the parking entrance of the Adria Residences beside the hotel before 8 a.m. yesterday.
Police have yet to determine whether there was foul play in the Korean’s death.
