Preparations underway for Presidential Imbizo in Mpumalanga

Preparations hum with activity as Mpumalanga gears up for the significant Presidential Imbizo, scheduled to take place next Wednesday at Sy Mthimunye Stadium in Emalahleni

The upcoming Imbizo, where President Cyril Ramaphosa and Cabinet Ministers will participate, has captured the attention of Mpumalanga Premier Refilwe Mtshweni-Tsipane and many others.

Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane expects about 3000 people from different groups. These groups include traditional leaders, community groups, workers, women, young people, individuals with disabilities, and business owners.

Mpumalanga’s Presidential Imbizo: Direct citizen engagement

This Imbizo is significant because it allows people to directly engage with the President about development issues.

Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane is excited about Mpumalanga hosting this event. She emphasises the importance of people speaking with the President about issues with service delivery. This is especially significant as the country marks 30 years of democracy.

“Mpumalanga is more than ready to host the Presidential Imbizo. We are inspired by the President’s decision to let our citizens talk to him and share ideas on how to solve service delivery issues. We’ve seen how well it worked in the past Imbizo in Gert Sibande District,” said Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane.

Engage with the President: Imbizo goes digital and on-air

Premier Mtshweni-Tsipane encourage people to use various channels, such as social media, to share their thoughts with the President during the Imbizo. The event will broadcast live on TV, radio, and social media.

The Presidential Imbizo is a crucial platform for everyone to come together. Additionally, it allows them to discuss immediate problems while also striving towards long-lasting peace and progress.
