Virgin Airlines flight forced to turn around

A Virgin Airlines flight from Brisbane to Darwin has been forced to turn around and make an emergency landing overnight today. QLD reporter Ashlyn Krikelis joins us now from Brisbane Airport, Ashland. What happened? So if we flight VA 455 took off after 6:00 last night from Brisbane bound for Darwin, but it never made it there. Instead during this flight a pan call, a possible assistance needed call was issued and the flight turned around to return here to Brisbane. Now Queensland Fire and Rescue waiting for it on the tarmac. Thankfully they weren’t needed as the plane landed safely and no passengers or crew were injured. Now Virgin has told Weekend Today this morning that the aircraft experienced a cabin pressure issue. Which required it to fly at a lower altitude. A review is now underway to figure out what caused this issue, while Virgin works with all the passengers who are on board hoping to arrive in Darwin last night but instead forced to stay in Brisbane. Sophie Ashland thank you.
