Belum lama ini video yang memperlihatkan petugas dari Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Gerik di Negara Bagian Perak, Malaysia, melakukan operasi memburu warga Muslim yang tak berpuasa Ramadhan di berbagai tempat makan viral di Negeri Jiran.

NEGERI PERAK, KOMPAS.com – Belum lama ini video yang memperlihatkan petugas dari Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Gerik di Negara Bagian Perak, Malaysia, melakukan operasi memburu warga Muslim yang tak berpuasa Ramadhan di berbagai tempat makan viral di “Negeri Jiran”.

Video yang diunggah di TikTok oleh Pejabat Agama Islam Daerah Gerik lewat akun padgerik33300 pada Jumat (15/3/2024) itu telah mendapat sekitar 91.200 like dan 4.19

Dalam video tersebut, awalnya tampak petugas mendatangi sebuah restoran atau tempat makan lokal. Mereka datang dengan mengenakan rompi berwana mencolok bertuliskan JAIPk (Jabatan Agama Islam Perak) dan penguat kuasa (penegak).

Tidak berselang lama, muncul adegan seorang pria yangbergegas pergi dengan menenteng kantong plastik hitam di tangan.

“Ini bukanlah reka ulang oleh para profesional, tapi ini adalah video dari apa yang sebenarnya terjadi selama operasi kami baru-baru ini,” tulis Pejabat Agama Isslam Daerah Gerik dalam posting video tersebut.

Banyak warganet Malaysia memberikan tanggapan di kolom komentar. Beberapa bernada bercanda.

“Saya tidak percaya bahwa pria itu tidak melepaskan makanan yang dibelinya saat melarikan diri,” ugkap salah satu warganet.

“Itu (yang lari) bukan saya,” ungkap pengguna TikTok lainnya, sebagaimana dikutip dari World of Buzz.

Namun, ada juga yang berkomentar mengecam tindakan petugas tersebut, dengan mempertanyakan apa salahnya membeli makanan dengan cara dibungkus saat bulan Ramadhan ini.

Sebab, bisa jadi, orang itu membeli makanan untuk berbuka puasa atau keluarganya yang tidak berpuasa karena suatu hal.

Untuk diketahui, Malaysia adalah negara yang mempunyai sistem hukum dua jalur, di mana umat Islam juga mesti tunduk pada hukum Islam di wilayah tertentu.

Diberitakan The Straits Times, di Johor, umat Islam yang tidak berpuasa bahkan dapat dihukum hingga enam bulan penjara atau denda hingga 1.000 ringgit Malaysia (sekitar Rp 3,3 juta), atau keduanya.
