Twenty men, seven women nabbed in Melaka anti-vice raid
MELAKA: Twenty men and seven women were arrested as the Melaka Immigration Department mounted an anti-vice operation at Taman Teknologi Cheng here.
The department’s state director, Anirwan Fauzee Mohd Aini, said the premises, managed by a 28-year-old local man, offered massage and sexual services to foreign workers for the fee of RM50 to RM100 for each session lasting 15 minutes each.
He said the three-hour raid was launched on Thursday evening (Feb 8), and those detained were aged between 28 and 43 years.
“We embarked on the raid after locals complained about the nuisance created by the foreigners when patronising the outlet,” he said on Friday (Feb 9).
Anirwan Fauzee said the seven women who were detained were from Thailand. Each of the rooms on the premises had a timer, and the clients were only allowed to be inside with the women for no more than 15 minutes.
He said some of the foreigners ran helter-skelter without clothes when the 19 officers raided the premises and even hid behind cupboards.
“We managed to nab all of them,” he added.
