Tonight the Canucks face off against the Dallas Stars on home ice and the stakes like the spirits of Canucks fans are high. After losing three to two against the LA Kings on Monday, a win tonight would clinch a spot at the Stanley Cup playoffs. Now they have not made it to the playoffs since the 2019-2020 season where they lost in the second round to the Las Vegas Golden Knights. TJ Chase is a photographer and long time I was going to say long-suffering Canucks fan. He joins us this morning from Missouri. Good morning to you. Good morning. The Canucks are leading the Pacific Division. They are facing what could be their first playoff run in a while. Did you think that they would get to this point again? I did. They always do. It comes in waves, usually every 13 to 17 years. That that’s a long time to wait. It is. It is. It’s the long game. That’s that’s what being a Kinect fan is all about. Wait for those precious moments measured by decades or measured by what? Measured by moments of excitement and the stuff that gets your heart pumping, that’s great to hear it. Now, what do you make of how the team has really turned things around this season? I mean, they have had their ups and downs, but mostly UPS. Yeah, it seems like they just get it. You know that I’ve noticed that throughout my many years of being a Canucks fan, that they’ll have great players, but they won’t always be playing together or they won’t buy into the system. You know, in 94 and 2011 and all the great eras, you know, they’ve always just clicked or they had that magic that, you know, they’re playing for each other, they’re playing for the system. And you can see that out there, ’cause there’s good nights, there’s bad nights, But you can always tell that they’re working hard and that’s. Half the battle, I think.
