In temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian occupiers are attempting to disrupt and mislead Ukrainian intelligence out of fear of new strikes by the Defense Forces, according to a report by the Institute for the Study of War (ISW).

Experts refer to information from Ukrainian military observer Kostiantyn Mashovets.

On Saturday, March 2, the analyst reported that units of the 31st Russian Air Defense Division in temporarily occupied Crimea had begun to widely use fake positions and false radio communications to mislead Ukrainian intelligence.

Explosions in Crimea

On Friday, March 1, there were explosions in the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol. The city announced an air alarm. Eyewitnesses reported an impact on a military base in the Gvardeyske, Simferopol district. There were also reports of impacts in Sevastopol and the Saky district.

Tonight, powerful explosions are heard in the temporarily occupied Feodosia. Russian media report the work of air defense systems against drones, which are presumably trying to attack the local oil depot.

Earlier, the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense Kirill Budanov announced new surprises in Crimea and advised against using the Kerch Bridge.
