Bonjour world – Snoop Dogg has gone to etiquette school and he’s ready for the Paris Olympics.

The 52-year-old rapper appeared on the Jennifer Hudson Show on Friday, where the talk show host put him through his paces in anticipation for his Parisian stint as a special correspondent for NBC.

Jennifer reached out to etiquette expert Myka Meier – who co-founded the Plaza Hotel’s Finishing Program – to help him tidy up his table manners and offered some tips.

To set the scene, Snoop and Jennifer were seen sitting in a makeshift Parisian street in a café, about to enjoy a meal with Myka talking him through how to act.

‘First question, how would you greet someone in France,’ the expert asked Snoop – who promptly answered the question the correct way – with a kiss on both of Jennifer’s cheeks.

‘Bonjour,’ the rapper said, kissing the talk show host’s hand and both her cheeks, with Myka reminding him it was ‘right cheek first.’

Next, they moved on to eating a meal, with Myka advising him how to dine like a Frenchman – starting with the correct way to hold cutlery, which in Europe are held in the opposite hands to America.

‘If it’s a soup I’m going to grab a spoon but if it’s a meat I’m grabbing this,’ Snoop responded, picking up a knife and fork – in the correct French way – and holding it daintily above his plate.

‘So fork in the left, knife in the right,’ Myka coached, as Snoop held the cutlery.

She then told the pair to hold the utensils with index fingers out when they cut their food, turning the fork over so it faced down when you put the food in your mouth.

They then moved on to where their hands should be while they are sitting at the table.

The Drop It Like It’s Hot hitmaker chose to lean forward with his elbows on his knees.

‘Technically you’re right because hands stay above the table,’ Myka approved.

Good bread is sometimes the best part of a meal, and the etiquette coach next shared how to properly eat bread – which, according to Snoop, is best enjoyed with butter spread along all sides including the crust.

Following the bread course was how to consume wine. Although pointing out that France had some of the best wine regions in the world, Snoop claimed he could do one better, pulling out a bottle of his very own 19 Crimes Cali red wine to enjoy.

‘I’m sorry but this is the best wine in the world,’ he interjected, as Jennifer and Myka were in hysterics and the crowd was cheering.

After pouring Jennifer a glass, he offered some wine to Myka as well, telling her he was going to ‘get her lit too.’

With drinks in their hands, Myka taught them the French way to cheers: santé.

To round off the etiquette lesson, Myka asked Jennifer and Snoop what their etiquette ‘pet peeves’ were.

‘I don’t like yes when people be smacking,’ the rapper declared, clarifying he cannot stand it when people chewed loudly and smacked their lips together.

‘I agree with you Snoop, I’m with you,’ Myka agreed. ‘I think we could learn a lot from you.’

The Primetime Emmy Award winner, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., was named as an analyst for the network in early January, three years after he and comedian Kevin Hart provided streaming-only commentary at the 2021 Summer Olympics in Tokyo on Peacock.

‘I grew up watching the Olympics and am thrilled to see the incredible athletes bring their A-game to Paris,’ Snoop Dogg said in a statement, as he posed in front of the Eiffel Tour as part of the announcement.

‘It’s a celebration of skill, dedication, and the pursuit of greatness.

‘We’re going to have some amazing competitions and, of course, I will be bringing that Snoop style to the mix. It’s going to be the most epic Olympics ever, so stay tuned, and keep it locked.’
