President Joe Biden has promised to “immediately sign” the bills introduced by Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson to aid Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan once Congress approves them, according to the White House.

Biden emphasized his strong support for the Speaker’s initiative to aid Ukraine and Israel, as well as to provide necessary humanitarian assistance to Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and strengthen stability in the Indo-Pacific region.

The President reminded that Israel has been under unprecedented attacks from Iran, while Ukraine faces ongoing shelling from Russia, which has sharply escalated over the past month.

“The House must pass the package this week and the Senate should quickly follow. I will sign this into law immediately to send a message to the world: We stand with our friends, and we won’t let Iran or Russia succeed,” added the head of state.

What preceded

This week, Speaker of the US House of Representatives Mike Johnson proposed dividing the Senate bill on national security into four separate bills.

Thus, the funding for aid to Ukraine in the amount of $60 billion was allocated in a separate document.

Today, April 17, the text of the bill on aid to Ukraine proposed by Johnson has appeared. In particular, the document provides for the transfer of ATACMS to our military.

All details can be found in the material by RBC-Ukraine.
