Deloitte Access Economics Lead Partner Pradeep Philip says unemployment “will rise” to have a “four in front of it”.
In figures released on Thursday, the unemployment rate has risen from 3.7 per cent to 3.8 per cent.
“The labour market is fluctuating a little bit up and down at the moment, and we are still waiting to see the full effects of that big rise in interest rates over the last 12 to 18 months still play out,” Mr Philip told Sky News Australia.
