BEIRUT, 9 may (Reuters) – Un ataque aéreo israelí contra un automóvil en el sur de Líbano mató a cuatro personas el jueves, según la defensa civil libanesa, y fuentes de seguridad afirmaron que los fallecidos eran miembros del grupo armado Hezbolá.

El conflicto entre Hezbolá e Israel se ha recrudecido desde octubre en paralelo a la guerra de Gaza, con una escalada esta semana, cuando ambas partes intensificaron sus bombardeos, alimentando la preocupación de una guerra mayor entre los adversarios fuertemente armados.

Israel ha utilizado artillería, drones y aviones de combate contra objetivos en el sur de Líbano, incluso para atacar a combatientes de Hezbolá y otros grupos armados. Los combatientes libaneses han lanzado cohetes y sus propios drones contra el norte de Israel.

El ejército israelí no respondió inmediatamente a una petición de comentarios sobre los ataques del jueves.

La fuerza de rescate de la defensa civil libanesa dijo que había retirado cuatro cadáveres de un coche calcinado por un ataque israelí. Dos fuentes de seguridad dijeron a Reuters que los cuatro muertos eran miembros de Hezbolá.

Los intercambios de disparos han desplazado a decenas de miles de personas a ambos lados de la frontera. En el norte de Israel, los desplazamientos han provocado llamamientos a una acción militar más firme contra Hezbolá.

El ministro de Defensa israelí, Yoav Gallant, advirtió el miércoles de que los próximos meses “pueden ser un verano caliente”, afirmando que es necesario un acuerdo diplomático o una solución militar para restablecer la seguridad.

Los combates entre Israel y Hezbolá han sido los más intensos desde que entraron en guerra en 2006.

Hezbolá ha dicho en repetidas ocasiones que cesará el fuego cuando cese la ofensiva israelí en Gaza, pero que también está dispuesta a seguir luchando si Israel sigue atacando Líbano.
