Losses among the personnel of the Russian army are five times greater than the losses among the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated President Volodymyr Zelenskyy during his interview with FOX News.
“We know that tens of thousands of people have been killed. Tens of thousands of children have been deported. If we compare the number of soldiers killed, I would say the ratio is 1:5. For every Ukrainian soldier who died in combat, there are 5 Russian soldiers. This is an approximate statistic,” said the head of the state in an interview with an American television channel.
Strengthening the Defense Forces of Ukraine
On Thursday, February 22, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a comprehensive meeting with diplomats, representatives of states, and international organizations. During the meeting, he outlined three tasks for the year 2024.
The head of state also announced that Ukraine will enhance its Air Force this year with F-16 fighters, considering it a fundamental task.
The President had a phone conversation with Charles Michel, the head of the European Council. The leaders discussed military and financial assistance to Ukraine.
