Tiotusentals evakueras i Kina efter översvämningarna

Runt 60 000 människor i kinesiska Guangdong-provinsen har evakuerats efter den senaste tidens kraftiga översvämningar, rapporterar BBC. Elva personer saknas, men lokala myndigheter har inte rapporterat något dödsfall i samband med ovädret.

Myndigheterna uppger att de övervakar ”farligt höga vattennivåer”. Bilder på sociala medier och i statligt kontrollerade medier visar hur delar av provinsen ligger under vatten.

Enligt prognoserna kommer kraftigt skyfall att ställa till det i regionen även under måndagen. Vädervarningar har utfärdats i flera städer, bland annat Hong Kong och Shenzhen
