Three small wildfires that sparked over the weekend are now listed as under control, according to the BC Wildfire Service (BCWS).
The wildfires are suspected to have been caused by humans or human activity.
A 1.6-hectare wildfire near the Milligan Creek Road area, east of Prespatou, was discovered on April 14th.
A fire was reported on April 14th in the Red Mountain area, east of Sugarbowl Grizzly Den Provincial Park and 95 kilometres north of Prince George. The blaze measured 0.5 hectares in size.
The largest of the three started on April 12th.
The BCWS and Fort St. John Fire Department helped Taylor firefighters fight a blaze near the Taylor Speedway on Friday.
According to District of Taylor Fire Chief Steve Byford, the fire began just after 5:00 p.m. on Friday, April 12th, stretching multiple kilometres along Cherry Avenue.
Byford says the fire was contained at 6:14 p.m. after burning an area of roughly eight hectares and destroying one small outbuilding.
