RS polls: 7 BJP candidates file nomination papers in UP
Seven BJP candidates on Wednesday filed their nomination papers for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections, in the presence of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Lok Sabha election in-charge Baijayant Panda.
The nominations were filed by BJP spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, RPN Singh, Sangeeta Balwant, Sadhna Singh, Amarpal Maurya, Tejveer Singh, and Naveen Jain at the Vidhan Bhavan.
During this, Bharatiya Janata Party State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Brajesh Pathak, Cabinet Minister Suresh Khanna, Surya Pratap Shahi, Swatantra Dev Singh, etc., were present.
Yesterday three Samajwadi Party candidates including Bollywood actor Jaya Bachchan, former Union Minister Ramji Lal Suman abd former UP Chief Secretary Alok Ranjan filed their nominations.
Tomorrow is the last date of nominations for 10 RS sears from UP. If required, polling will be held on February 27.
