This is the ‘Most Recommended Retail Bank in the Philippines,’ According to The Asian Banker

The Asian Banker is a leading platform that recognizes top performing financial services institutions. Taking pride in what it regards as its “most rigorous and transparent” awards program, The Asian Banker “recognizes exceptional innovation, leadership, management, and performance,” with more than 60 different award categories.

This year, the Philippines’ Metropolitan Bank & Trust Company (Metrobank) was among the awardees recognized by the global banking expert, winning the award for Most Recommended Retail Bank in the country.

The award was based on the results of a survey conducted among 12,000 respondents in Asia in January 2024, which revolved around customers’ engagement and satisfaction with retail banks.

According to The Asian Banker, Metrobank’s BankQuality score stood at 101.48 — the highest among participating banks in the Philippines, and sixth overall in Asia.

The Ty family-led bank welcomed the recognition, which it said was aligned with its commitment of “keeping Filipinos in good hands.”

“This mission is what fuels our drive to deliver an exceptional brand of service, and we are grateful that this is being recognized both by clients across the country and by global banking experts, such as The Asian Banker,” Digs Dimagiba, Metrobank’s chief marketing officer, said.
